Description :

This page is designed to help you understand beats, which occur when two sine waves of equal amplitude but slightly different frequencies overlap.

● You can control the time progression using buttons such as “>”. Pressing “0” resets the time to zero.
● Initially, the component waves are displayed. Before enabling the resultant wave, think about what the superposed wave should look like.
● In the “Superposition” display mode, you can move the point of superposition by dragging with the mouse or sliding your finger on a tablet.
● You can control the frequencies of the two waves being superposed using the “f1” and “f2” sliders. The initial values are f1 = 100 and f2 = 110, and each can be adjusted within the range of 80 to 120.
● You can control the wave speed with the “v” slider. The initial value is 100, and it can be adjusted within the range of 20 to 200.
