Kasuga
Grand Shrine 春日大社 Kasuga Grand Shrine is generally believed to have been fouded by the Fujiwara Family,who were the most powerful Imperial court nobles in the Tempyo Period as their tutelary deity,after the capital was moved to Heijo (present Nara).The architectual style of the sanctuary is called "Kasuga style",because its singular characteristics,such as the shape of its roof. |

710(和銅3)年、平城遷都とともに都の守護神として祀られたといわれる。768(神護景雲2)年、藤原永手が、現在地に神殿を造営。興福寺と同様、藤原氏が勢力を伸ばすにつれ盛んに社殿の造営が行われ、平安前期に現在のような規模を整えた。 |
